What's happening in Tallahassee? One of DeSantis' agency heads went out of her way to antagonize legislators, just as she's facing a Senate confirmation hearing. Like them or not, you don't do that. My column:

Even Anthony Weiner thinks using Signal for sensitive government communications is reckless. And let’s be honest—that man has personally tested the limits of bad judgment in messaging apps.

Pete Buttigieg breaks down DEI for everyday folks…

“The opposite of diversity is uniformity. The opposite of equity is inequity. The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.” @petebuttigieg.bsky.social

Our problem: too many value uniformity over inclusion and they’re the ones running the government.

Please stop saying these American heroes are not fighting for everyday people. If we let the Chinese make our flags, the next thing they will want to do is buy our debt.

Trump suggested that promoting electric vehicles “was the idea of the Radical Left Fascists, Marxists, & Communists” and that “Within 3 years, all of these cars will be made in China.”
Trump is buying a Tesla. Here are some of the harsh things he's said about EVs over the years
President Donald Trump says he's buying a Tesla to show loyalty to company CEO Elon Musk. That's a departure from previous years, when Trump repeatedly decried electric vehicles.

If your tribe demands silence when you disagree or discourages diversity of thought, it might be time to review your exit strategy.

This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

To all the elected and appointed leaders who stood with Ukraine until President Trump ordered you to your knees — this is your moment. Stand back up. Shoulders back. Say ENOUGH! I believe many will join you.

The same may apply to other people and other issues 🫵🏻

The America I know and love stands with democracy, not dictators. Zelensky may not have done backflips to kiss Trump’s ass, but that’s no excuse for cozying up to a murderous, lying thug like Putin. Oh, and don't get me started on VP Vance - what a disgrace.

Standing with Ukraine is a statement that democracy will not bow to dictators or their puppets. History is clear — when democracies stand together, tyranny loses.

Who would have guessed that in 2025, some Americans would admire Putin more than our own allies? That we’d question decades-long friendships with democratic nations—while suddenly cheering for dictators?

Strange how quickly things change when loyalty isn’t to democracy, but to a man.

According to fact checkers, the video of President Trump kissing Mr. Musk’s feet is apparently fake. The one where he is slobbering all over Putin’s toes is likely fake too.

Putin’s lifelong dream was to somehow separate the US from NATO. But how to break up a strong alliance that stood for 80 years and continued to expand? There really was only one way to do it, he figured it out a decade ago, and played the long game. Now his guy will do it.

Ferdinand Marcos built a loyal following. He kept feeding them propaganda while growing his personal power and wealth. He silenced critics and consistently claimed the people loved him. It took some time, but the people took to the streets…

Optimism feels like a stretch. The cruelty and chaos is real. People are hurting and the future feels uncertain.

Giving in to despair only helps the ones causing the damage. They want us exhausted and believing we are powerless.

Take a deep breath, rest when you need to, but don't give up.
