Change is hard. But denial, denial is easy.

It's like leaving the clean dishes in the dishwasher. The sink gets full, the plasticware inside grows mold, it stinks when you open it, but ur stuck with too many clean and too many dirty - so you throw away the moldy plasticware and call it a win.

Me looking for a job:
Stepdad: Go be a 911 dispatcher, they're always looking. Good pay, pension, benefits, no requirements.
Me: Okay!
*Several hours later looking up 911 dispatcher jobs: Bachelors in Em. Manag., Comm., Criminal Justice, Comp. Sci.*

Uh... M.A. English not on the list... 🙄

My math brought it to ~2400lbs.

Thread:
I explained to my dad recently why "the younger generation doesn't work."

I started with this: The Silent Generation worked until they were broken, body and soul. The Boomers came along and did the same, but with healthcare. The Boomers then taught Gen X: 1/

"Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'"

It's not. It's really not.

A podcast I have been listening to, hoping for writing inspiration, said to just write 1 page a day. This is day 3 of following that idea, and I found myself wanting to wake up and get to it. There might be something to this! Tell me your "get to it" inspirations?
