Post-menopausal childless cat lady. Liberal in bright red rural Michigan.
I just learned that having an insurance deductible more than 5% of your income means you’re underinsured. I can’t find a 2026 plan with a deductible less an 14% of my income and max out of pocket less than 25% of my income. This was same in 2025. I’m f*@cked.

It’s the last night of nightly @maddow.msnbc.com. I’m so very very sad and don’t know how we’ll get through without her brilliant nightly analysis.

500 people in tiny Benzie County, MI told 47, Musk, and their minions to keep their #HandsOff our democracy today!

What’s the opposite of a Nobel Peace Prize?

I think we have a winner.

@joyannreid.bsky.social You will be missed on @msnbc.com. Thank you for holding people’s feet to the fire by asking hard thoughtful questions. I always learn from you. Best wishes in your new adventure.

Dear Journalists,

Please stop saying things like “Trump won’t be on the ballot” or “isn’t running.”

That sounds like he has a choice. He doesn’t. The 22nd Amend prevents him from running.

Normalize saying “Trump is constitutionally prohibited from running again.”

It’s a fact & the truth.

This is what I accomplished this week too.
This is how I would respond to the email Musk has had sent to government employees (not legal advice).

1. Refused to violate the law.
2. Refused to violate the Constitution.
3. Refused to bow or scrape.
4. Refused to bend a knee.
5. Deleted this stupid email.

@aoc.bsky.social Why isn’t anyone talking about impeaching Trump yet?

@bradmeltzer.com I’ve read the 1st 36 chaps of The JFK Conspiracy this afternoon. It’s riveting! I’m only stopping for now because I agreed to do some volunteer work tonight. What was I thinking??? I know better than to schedule anything when a new Meltzer book arrives!

@maddow.msnbc.com thanks for the Hegseth report tonight. Will it do any good? I doubt it. See also Brett Kavanaugh. The GOP doesn’t care about women or what’s best for the country. They seem to only care about licking 45/47’s boots.

Can we stop using softening language when discussing 45/47? He doesn’t spread falsehoods, exaggerations, or misleading claims; he LIES. He’s not a sexual offender; he’s a RAPIST. He’s also a FELON.
January 21, 2025 at 2:35 PM
To all Republican Senators “outraged” by the #January6 pardons: Shut up. You could have convicted 45 in EITHER impeachment trial and he couldn’t be 47. This is on you.

Who the f$&@ voted for Musk for president? He’s not constitutionally allowed to be POTUS and needs to STFU. Also, Joe Biden is still POTUS so Trump can take a seat too.

My cousin died from childhood leukemia. This is personal to me.
The world's richest man managed to take $190 million away from a *child cancer research center* with his posts yesterday. Funding now stripped in the new bill.

Since moving to MI, I’ve wanted to start a Little Free Library w only banned books. Today it feels essential to help open hearts & minds and protect those who are vulnerable. Would people support this or would I just be putting myself at risk?
