It’s tough to balance. I try to focus on how far we’ve come. Today I made a rainbow stack of queer books and they were almost all from BIPOC authors! You couldn’t do that even five years ago (at least, in traditional). I feel lucky to be where we are and I want to help go further still

I really like that I’m passionate and curious about craft. I once spent six months researching and learning how to self edit because I wasn’t satisfied with my skill level. I listen to feedback (even if I whine about it first lol) and change for the better. I think that’s pretty neat!

It’s tough, but I try to limit social media time (ironic, I know), read books I love, and consuming games or anime content. Also I saw Sinners recently and it rewired my brain chemistry in the best possible way so EVERYONE GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW OR AGAIN
