Birthright citizenship has always been a Black issue. Immigrants & descendants of American slavery. We haven't had full citizenship long. Our citizenship never stopped being conditional & can be snatched. Our ancestors were not deceived they had protection as "real" Americans & we shouldn't be.

I've recently graduated from UIC. Even took the LSAT a week or so ago.

But in taking this break to just refresh after 3 long years as an undergrad, what's happening now is the Great American tragedy in slow motion.

An ideological chimera, clawing desperately to keep power.
