My son's friend just asked if he could listen to some music on one of my discuses. Keeping obsolete technology alive one child at a time.

A commentator just said "cupset" and I've vommed on myself

I find it strange how important Jeff Buckley's Grace was to me 30 years ago and how to my ear now it just sounds like melodramatic, overly worthy mithering.

The overdiagnosis narrative is deeply unhelpful. Not a mental illness but mental disorder related: my son was diagnosed with autism but urgently needs an ADHD assessment. He's been bumped off the list and it could take 4 years, all thanks to the political weather www.theguardian.com/news/2026/fe...
‘What I see in clinic is never a set of labels’: are we in danger of overdiagnosing mental illness?
Our current approach to mental health labelling and diagnosis has brought benefits. But as a practising doctor, I am concerned that it may be doing more harm than good

Just eating a cracker with some creamy Saint Agur blue cheese and wondering if a similar late night snack inspired Metallica's eighth studio album

Agreed. Spotify isn't just morally bankrupt but tirelessly evil.
Sorry to bang on about it, but Boycott Spotify

I had my annual snort at the Record Store Day list completely ruined when I came across the Art of Noise's The Seduction of Claude Debussy. Something I've been hoping would turn up on vinyl one day and then voilà...

Drove past a convey of mouth breathers in Union Jack clad white vans protesting a migrant hotel. An army of Harkonnens with throbbing veins like sewer systems. Fucking, and indeed, hell.

Nouvelle Vague is one of those films I'm secretly desperate to see even though I know it's a going to be a ★★★

Also I'll keep calling him Prince Andrew because that's what he is. He's from a long line of vampires and he has the silly title to prove it

Are we at the stage where we can fire Prince Andrew out of a canon yet?

Jeff Bezos took £95 out of my account today because my 4yo clicked on the wrong thing on the remote control. You could call it a simple mistake but it feels more like an entire fucked up system where money gets sucked upwards with us barely needing to participate.
