The Israeli government has adopted the double-strike tactic used by Bashar al-Assad in Syria: target a hospital or heavily populated area, then hit it again when rescue workers, reporters and medics turn up, to kill or maim them too. Hideous war crimes piled one upon another.

This is terrifying. The wonderful people organising the protest against the proscription of Palestine Action have had their website taken down on the government's behest. Please join me and 100s maybe 1000s of others on Saturday, silently holding a placard.
BREAKING

Defend Our Juries website taken down as attack on freedom of speech worsens - blocking access to important legal info for protestors.

This is what happens when the Government uses anti-terror law to silence dissent.

Oh my eyes. Paul Lynch's Prophet Song is so brilliant, so timely. The collapse of democracy told as a story of human vulnerabilty and love rather than through the power plays we are all currently obsessed with.

It is an amazing thing that Cory Booker is doing - 18 hours and counting. But the amount of corruption and autocratic control he is recounting does make his job easier. Watch live www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tQn...

20 years after I started to write Architecture Depends, I am thrilled that it is being translated into French by Editions de la Villette. This is an epilogue to the translation. It felt emotional to return to the original - so this is quite personal a text. open.substack.com/pub/jeremyti...

One wonders what to do in these times. One suggestion is to follow the example here of @shannonmattern.bsky.social who endlessly (and I guess at no small personal cost) calls out & broadcasts the tyranny. 'Small' acts like this collect together as resistance, & will eventually overturn.
