Reading headlines is the song that never ends. The insanity goes on and on my friends. Some people have a hard time believing everyone deserves respect, and the hate grew and grew until decency becomes suspect-we can change the song and make sure it ends by showing up for each other. Kindness Wins.

I taught a unit on the Holocaust to 8th graders in which we simulated what it was like to be in a dark room, sitting silently and afraid of who may come to the door. I never would have thought the simulation would move itself into the real world.
