I made a bed out of a dishpan and blanket for my cat Penny who loves to help me work. She hangs out beside me. But over the last few months, her brothers have also delighted in snoozing there. Do I need a 3 pan system? is that how this works? #catsky

I know I’ve said this a lot but I really mean it- the way in which institutions fought against anyone speaking about Palestine was foreshadowing.
I expect universities to resist the Trump administration about as much as I expect universities to stand against apartheid, genocide, and the military-industrial complex: not at all.

I panicked when my dad went toToronto during the SARS outbreak. And when he was golfing in the south when Covid first hit the scene in N. America. And now my spouse is in an airport to come home - domestic inside Canada - and I will catch my breath when she is home. I have not been wrong to worry

Holding someone special close to my heart as she prepares to receive MAiD tonight. I'm so grateful that she has this option. The world is on fire, and many things are messy. Canada is FAR from 'ok' but compared to rights being stripped fast and furiously? I'm grateful to live where we have choice.
