treating your creativity as fuel for "content" is killing you. don't fall into a trap of thinking you have to draw xyz or a certain way to have fun.

if you're getting into drawing, run away from "influencers" "content" and stuff that elevates tiktok teen drama. "jelly style" "cal arts" "the art community" anything that encourages you to pick a style "category" or label, stuff about stealing style, etc. ok none of that is real or helpful.

No, you really shouldn't start with your magnum opus. But I think a question you should ask yourself at the beginning of any project is: if something went wrong and this was my last work in comics, would I be happy with it. And I think you should focus on the projects where the answer is yes.

No, you really shouldn't start with your magnum opus. But I think a question you should ask yourself at the beginning of any project is: if something went wrong and this was my last work in comics, would I be happy with it. And I think you should focus on the projects where the answer is yes.
