This 100-year, landscape-scale forest restoration strategy is the first of its kind in Ireland. It's a long road ahead but the hard work to implement the strategy is already underway. I'm proud to be part of this with my colleagues at NPWS.

A proven and highly effective conservation measure! Here in Ireland, rats are a major threat to seabird populations on our islands. Eradication projects are happening on the Saltee Islands @npwsireland.bsky.social and on Dalkey Island @dlrcc.bsky.social. #GenerationRestoration
