On Friday I had the absolute privilege of meeting with Kintyre Veterinary Services Louise Millar. Louise is a remarkable woman who in an incredibly short space of time has turned her idea of a mobile vet unit into a reality that is helping to provide a first class service to animals in Kintyre. 1/2

A safe, secure, warm home is vital for a life of dignity and opportunity, and too many children in Argyll and Bute are yet to experience that.

It was a brilliant fun filled day on Mull for the Highland Games last Thursday. Great to see so many locals and visitors out enjoying themselves as they were entertained by the pipers, dancers, heavyweight champions and athletes! Lovely as always to catch up with Cllr Willie Hume too.

Thanks to the team at An Tobar & Mull Theatre for welcoming me last week. It was great to meet playwrights, potters & actors! I really enjoyed seeing round their excellent facilities.

Very pleased that the Minister for Equalities accepted my invitation to visit the Tinkers Heart, such an important piece of Scotland’s cultural heritage. Always wonderful to see Jess Smith and hear her thought provoking stories.
