I’ve been struggling to find the words for my teenage lgbtq kid. I feel a sense of shame. They are a person with fears and dreams and right now they are afraid of living in their own country. They aren’t a talking point. They are struggling to find their place in an ever smaller and smaller world.

It’s time for a flu shot. It is a toss up whether my neurodivergent kiddo will get through it without crying. Hopefully it goes smoothly.

Win for the quarter. I was able to go out of town for a night. Kiddo stayed with their stepdad. No meltdowns were had. This feels huge.

Our win for the day, my kid got a 100% on their history test. Their grade for the class so far is an A. Last year they passed the year with all C or D’s.

This world is not build for neurodivergent people. Our society conforms to the needs of the many so the needs of the few are often ignored. It’s hard to deal with when your kid is one of the few.

One thing I need everyone to get is that the GOP platform states that abortion is already banned in all 50 states through the 14th Amendment. They just need a Trump in the presidency to make it so.
