The last 100 days have been an unprecedented assault on American science. Our scientists. Our institutions. And the people around the world who rely on it. We must stand united and speak up. Our collective future depends on it. #ScienceMatters www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPlu... savesciencenow.org

In interests of historical accuracy, as Trump's regime plans crackdown on progressive movements in wake of Kirk murder, my Nation column recaps times in recent past when rightwingers, led by Trump, have goaded people to violence and/or supported it after the fact.

Don’t Let Trump’s Henchmen Rewrite History. They’re the Ones Inciting Violence.
A brief catalogue of the times Republicans have called for brutal repression makes clear that Trump, not the left, is tearing apart the country.

US Moves To Scrap Emissions Reporting By Polluters
The United States moved on Friday to dismantle a "burdensome" federal program that tracks greenhouse gas emissions across the US economy, the latest step by President Donald Trump's administration to undercut efforts against climate change.

This attitude of “we’re just going to trash the planet, it’s the price of progress” is bullshit and not in our best interests.

There’s no place in the known universe like our home, the Earth. Most of us and our children and their children will be living right here. In whatever state it’s in.

It would make sense for health and defense to target fossil fuels instead.
