I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.

Las Vegas is a cacophony of repercussions and sirens right now. I wish I could just enjoy the pretty lights instead of worrying that this soundscape is prescient.

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles
Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.

I’ve been on here a couple of weeks and I have to say the big standout feature to me is that when I see and interesting post and swipe out of the app to look something up, then swipe back to reply, the post doesn’t VANISH FOREVER when the app automatically updates my feed for no reason.
