It's impossible to pick a "best" player from this list, but watching Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa on a day she is batting well (i.e., most days) is like looking at a textbook of stroke play. So good.

We've had her for six weeks. She came as a pretty sick kitten, unable to gain weight. She's leaving on the mend and growing. She's also a cuddle bug who will make someone an excellent pet!

In Crossville, Tennessee I learned the hard way that a vineyard is almost always a winery, but a winery is not necessarily a vineyard. In fact, a winery can be in a strip mall. 😆

A 2004 Moto Guzzi EV California Touring sits on its sidestand in a relatively empty parking lot. Behind the motorcycle is a single story building with stone and brick facing on it. The sign on the building reads, "Stonehaus Winery & Gifts." The winery's location amid acres of asphalt (and beside an interstate highway, out of frame) is not the first setting you think of when you think "winery."
