It’s Russia.

This whole thing — pretty much the whole damn thing for 10+ years — has been to destroy the Western Alliance.

It’s Russia.

The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

Wait. The CDC closed its FOIA office?!?
How sad is this? The CDC closed its FOIA office, so this story could only be published because a Danish journalist provided Rolling Stone with the documents, after obtaining them through a freedom of information request to the University of Southern Denmark

HHS Gave a $1.6 Million Grant to a Controversial Vaccine Study. These Emails Show How That Happened
Two Danish researchers faced accusations of “questionable research practices” as RFK Jr.’s top appointees made their study a “funding priority.”

The most impactful voting rights case in 2026 is undoubtedly Louisiana v. Callais, which will determine the future of the Voting Rights Act.

Legal scholar Quinn Yeargain unpacks what’s at stake here—and in other major cases poised to shape democracy.
Seven Legal Questions That Will Shape Democracy in 2026
Courts are set to decide a host of cases that will determine the fate of the VRA, confront the latest restrictions on direct democracy, and affect ballot access and redistricting.

Start at the grassroots. We need to rebuild a commitment to democracy, one relationship and community at a time. And not just in urban centers.

Let’s be clear: the masks are not merely (or primarily) to hide & shield agents from their actions *as* ICE agents, but to hide activities *prior* to joining ICE.

A reported list would paint a picture of various Proud Boys, Groypers, NJP, GDL, and groups with “Front” and “Knights” in the name.
This ICE agent and the man he’s accusing of not being a US citizen have the same damn accent. If this were a movie, this scene would be on the cutting room floor.

Despite electoral wins in 2025, “to have any hope of fixing the root problems that plague our democracy and our economy, Democrats need a majority that lasts, like the New Deal coalition,” the veteran Democratic strategist David Plouffe writes.
Opinion | Democrats Will Lose in 2028 Unless They Change Course Now
Despite the successes of 2025, the party still needs a radical shake up.

There is value in naming Trump folks as “Republicans.”

The machine will live much longer than Trump. People need to understand that machine.

And if Republicans don’t want to be painted with a Trump brush, they need to distance themselves or hold him accountable.

The destruction doesn't make for a photo-op like tearing down the East Wing of the White House or bulldozing the Rose Garden, but it's every bit as bad. Generations of American children learned to spell and count, learned the Preamble to the Constitution, from watching shows produced by the CPB.

Oil Companies love it, because of the enormous reserves. Keeping current business models without an expensive risky (for them) shifts to renewables.

Putin loves it b/c it kills US moral authority, buoys “no-principles”approach to Ukraine & keeps US in Western Hemisphere.

I would like one video supercut of every Trump lie. A series of couplets starting with his promise or claim, and followed by reality.

And a second video supercut of every horrible thing he said and did.

These both would be long.
They could be played like Yule Log.

“Flood the Zone” indeed.
