This past weekend, the JCSO partnered with the Drug Enforcement Agency for their National Drug Takeback event. We are proud to say we had 77 vehicles come through, bringing a total of 157 pounds of unused or expired prescription drugs! Thanks to those who participated!

Growing Kindness in the Community

Our inmate work crews spent the season growing pumpkins with care, and those pumpkins found a new home with students who have significant support needs at Alameda International Jr./Sr. High School and Bear Creek High School.

Our Traffic Unit recently wrapped up monthly motorcycle training and is back on the road, enforcing traffic laws, protecting our community, and hoping the Colorado sunshine sticks around.

Since January, our Traffic Unit has served 861 summonses along the mountain corridor of US Hwy 285. Most of these stops were for 20+ over the speed limit.
Hwy 285 is already busy. Reckless speed makes it dangerous.

This Friday, the JCSO Traffic Unit will conduct a speed saturation patrol to make the road safer for everyone.

Tickets are real. Crashes are preventable. Drive smart.

It’s what we do.
