I think I've hit that point in life where I just don't get excited about my birthday anymore.
There is literally no difference at this stage between one years age and the next. Nothing exciting it enables, nothing of value added, just a reminder I'm one year closer to death.

Truth be told, I'm scared. I'm nearly halfway to retirement age, and yet its as if I only became an adult in the last couple years. Even then, still learning, working out how to handle stuff. I'm scared that I will only fully be "awake" once I retire & by then, my life is already over.
