If you love audiobooks, check out Libro. fm. The membership fee is the same as Audible's, and every audiobook I've looked for so far is available. The best part is your purchase supports a local independent bookstore of your choice instead of billionaire Jeff Bezos.🩸📚💙

Ring Shout by P. Djèlí Clark
4.5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

It’s a blend of historical horror & fantasy & a retelling of the Fool’s Journey with a supernatural twist about Black resistance fighters taking down a sect of demonic Ku Klux Klan members. Audiobook narrator Cannie Waites was phenomenal.

William by Mason Coile

5/5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Loved this one!

This was a super quick and entertaining story. It merged many of my favorite things: technology, horror, unpredictable plot, well-developed characters, fast pace, and a twist I didn’t see coming.

Other Related Duties by R.K. Andris is a “dark comedic fantasy that takes the worst of today’s work culture to its nefarious ends”.

Enjoyed it. Short chapters, story progresses easily, quick read, light horror, overall a fun experience.

4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Here's a faux Irish Blessing for all my fellow geeks and nerds:

May your mission to the Neutral Zone be free of Romulan encounters,
May you always shoot first,
May your trip back in time be paradox-less,
May you finally finish that novel you've been working on…

I finished House of Leaves today. What a unique and visceral reading experience! Discombobulating, poignant, horrifying, and sad. It made me feel like I was going insane along with the narrators. Not an easy read, but worth it. I can’t stop thinking about it. 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📚💙🩸

Interesting research. "...feeling a lack of personal control often leads to people forming homogeneous teams, thus limiting exposure to other, diverse perspectives &, ultimately, stifling innovation and collaboration. This preference is explained by a greater desire for order and predictability." /1

Last month’s reading stats: 2 horror, 1 scifi, and 1 thriller finished. My goal is to read at least 1 page or listen to at least 1 minute every day, which I did on all but 2 days in February. 👏🏼🥳🙌🏼 💙📚🩸

The Rapist-in-Chief apparently plans to issue an executive order firing the members of the Postal Board of Governors and placing the agency under the control of the Commerce Department. This is clearly unconstitutional. See this statement for more information.

Just finished a really “The September House” by Carissa Orlando. Unique POV about a woman who is determined to stay in her dream home even after it becomes a haunted nightmare. Took a while to figure out where it was going, but it was a fun ride. 4.5 out of 5 ⭐️s.
