Honestly the difference between Mario fanservice and Donkey Kong fanservice is kinda insane to me. Like, Mario fanservice is really just acknowledging songs from previous games. Maybe a nod to a spinoff here, or some of the outfits in Odyssey, but usually they cap out at Mario 1 sprites.

Realizing that I think a lot of the reason Mario Odyssey falls a bit flat for me while I really like Bananza, a very similar game, is that despite Odyssey having absolutely massive levels there's very few points where there are any enemies placed around outside of sub areas

If there's any stupid big video that I'd ever want to make it's definitely one going in depth to the F-Zero series and the arcade origins of the Famicom Grand Prix series because I think it's really interesting that Nintendo's trend of copying homework led to some of my favourite games

Kirby's fight with Nightmare blew up a part of the moon so it's a cartoon crescent just actually, but I always forget because A) all it's appearances before the final boss are the same crescent shape and B) Triple Deluxe's final boss in front of the moon forgets this

I think anyone who likes how CrossWorlds feels but thinks the items are too much should play a Sega Rally game cause I really can't stress enough how similar they feel (especially if you use technical drift)

I always think it's funny when people bring up failed technologies and mention 3D displays and I'm like... man I still think they're cool. I'm hoping Nintendo puts Zero Racers on Virtual Boy NSO so I can have a new 3DS game in 2026.

It's crazy how much genAI being used sours my opinion on games, was playing a sequel to a game I liked and noticed some posters looked a little fucky despite there not being a label on the Steam store page and instantly got a sour taste in my mouth
