Just quantified my ability to resist certain foods with WIS saves.

Pastry from my fave cafe? That's a DC 5 WIS save to resist.

The leftover kielbasa? DC 10.

Funyuns? DC 15. And I'm probably rolling that with a d12, so let's hope I have bonuses today.

The long-awaited full-length sequel to the cult classic KAREN MEMORY!

(Audible books are a little goofed up in the database right now, so hold off on those.)

Watching @dropout.tv #NeverStopBlowingUp and nothing could have prepared me for @ifycomedy.com's epic delivery of Dom Toretto's speech in session 5. That was incredible. This may be my favorite ttrpg series ever. #lafamilia

We knew that the IMLS was going to defunded in the proposed 2026 budget. Seeing what that looks like–and the language about it being closed out entirely–is still chilling.

Details from the proposed budget and what impact that has on the 2 IMLS court cases.

There's so much value in being able to fix your own stuff. I hand sew just okay, but I know a bit about mending and was able to mend a hole (because cat) in the front of a shirt so I could keep wearing it. It looks good!

Something that's been living rent-free in my head since Saturday and a lovely chat with some of my ttrpg party: I have never before daydreamed about my characters - ANY character - from first person. Also, it's hard. It's really, really hard for me.

None of my Oscar picks won, but if you have the opportunity to watch any of the nominated short films: The Last Ranger, The Man Who Could Not Be Silent, A Lien, and Anuja, they're all deeply moving and worth the time.

A Lien, in particular, is a film more Americans need to watch.

Me making a little faun cleric on a lark: I'm going to make her so deeply weird, this is going to be hilarious!

Me, some time later, having realized I've accidentally layered in way too many of my own problems: ...Shit.

My favorite thing in the world is when my little cat chooses to curl up next to me and sleep. He has other places in the house he likes to nap, so when he chooses me I feel like I must be a being worthy of his trust.

Today I learned, courtesy of Charles Dickens: rotting shrimp and lobster can grow bioluminescent bacteria and thus, in a dark cellar, may faintly glow in the dark.

I also learned that once heard as the narrator of A Christmas Carol, Gonzo can never be unheard.

I don't want to give the game away about my own fic until the author reveals, but I think my recipient really enjoyed their fic, too. Every time I write for #Yuletide I remember what a joy it is to create a lovingly tailored story for someone who shares my tiny fandoms.

I'm so elated. Y'all, I love my Yuletide fic!
