One thing I can tell you I will be doing is spending way, way less time on Threads and Facebook this year and more time here. Some feed issues aside, I love @bsky.app and really admire and enjoy the communities that have sprung up here.

The shitty thing about publishing right now is not the invasion of AI, but how publishers, authors, et all are being mysterious about their use. Every day people I respect make little confessions. It's a problem.
You can't scream "fuck you AI", have confessions, and expect to be received seriously.

Crossed the 140k mark in the final book of my Dragon War trilogy. It's enthralling to me, so that's something. I'm hoping it lands in the range of 180k, but so far, it feels quick. I know I have to cut a lot, fill in some things, but this is nice.

Am I the only one that finds The Odyssey trailer a bit underwhelming? Some of the shots were gorgeous, and I like the casting, but it felt like there isn't a solid tone to the entire thing.
I hope the film is great and shows us much more than this.
