I’ve binge watched Adolescence today. What an incredible feat of acting, script writing, and filming. It’s stunning. Worth a year’s Netflix subscription on its own.

Five years ago the world very suddenly became a scary place.

On this day of reflection I'm remembering how it showed the best of people - the desire to look after and help each other by making selfless sacrifices.
Today, on the Day of Reflection, millions across the country remember loved ones, friends, and family members lost during the pandemic.

We also honour the extraordinary frontline workers—nurses, bus drivers, and so many others—who risked their lives to keep the country running.

The bust of Sir Winston Churchill sits in Trump's Oval Office. He was an immensely brave leader who visited Washington, dressed in fatigues, seeking support against a despot. We all know what he would have made of today's unedifying spectacle and whose side he would have been on.
