I had to select a monologue to perform, twice in class, for my first semester of college Acting I class. I chose a monologue in Arcadia that talked about math in a poetic way, and it’s one of the most fascinating plays I’ve read and monologue performed.
I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

A new bill will head to Congress to prevent women from being turned away or sent home from a hospital while in active labour. This is after a video circulated of a Black woman who was dismissed from a hospital, only to give birth in her truck minutes later on the side of the road.

A woman gave birth 8 minutes after a hospital turned her away. A bill aims to stop that from happening again.
The legislation seeks to stop Black women from suffering during and after childbirth and hold hospitals accountable, according to bill language obtained exclusively by NBC News.

I think reading helps society by exposing readers to different cultures and environments from a first person perspective that they would not have otherwise experienced.

Don't know if Mamdani is *the* future of the Democratic Party. But there's no doubt that should he overcome the tsunami of filth dumped at him, he's a big part of the party's future. What's indubitable his CAMPAIGN is the future. His ability to engage the city ina deep story is a model for everyone.
