How to Create Websites Your Clients Can Own
That may sound easy but it’s not as simple as it sounds. It took plenty of trial and error before finding a workflow that allowed me to become successful as a solo developer with multiple clients…

Tonight was a full circle moment!

I was asked to speak at the Coding Academy where I started my Software Engineering journey 3 years ago

I shared my story, industry insights and advice for navigating this crazy job market

We finished with an AMA focused on AI, mock interviews and so much more!

It’s great to be on a team that partners with organizations like Easterseals SWFL

Working on their website is rewarding because it allows families to find life changing care for those with special needs.

We got to see those results first hand this week at a luncheon that raised nearly 200k!

@cassidoo.co's weekly challenge was tough on my "music brain"!

"Given a list of frequencies (in Hz), write a function to determine the closest musical note for each frequency based on the A440 pitch standard.
Extra credit: indicate if the note is flat or sharp!"

Here’s my solution to @cassidoo.co’s weekly newsletter coding challenge:

I started with JS and then transcoded to Python (which I’m still learning).

A quick code review from friends pushed me to validate inputs which I added as helper funcs.

This was fun thx 🥳

I’m getting back into LeetCode in ‘25, but this time...

I'm not rushing through it! In the past, I powered through solutions while trying to memorize the answers.

That's a waste of time and energy.

Now, I'm focused on the fundamentals making me a better SWE instead of a "LeetCode Memorizer."

I’m loving this cool FL weather!

Taking a lunchtime bike ride, and eating outside next to my favorite thinking stump, is that “enjoy the journey part” of life.

I've been solving a lot of problems with this coding solution lately - JavaScript's MutationObserver API

Check out my article and try the demo app to learn all about it!

#InboxZero is still going strong thanks to creating smart mailboxes and aggressively unsubscribing from mailing lists 📧❌

Instead of doom scrolling while waiting in lines, I’ve been spending that time unsubscribing and responding to messages.

You should give it a try!

I refactored the capstone project from my coding bootcamp called ‘Life Music’ by implementing React Hooks to manage state and song context, creating a more enjoyable user experience that allows auto-play in a playlist format.

Did you ever have to do a "discovery wheel" in school?

That's what 2024 felt like for me!

This blog post takes a close look at the goals I set, the lessons I learned, and the ways this year shaped me as a #developer, #creator, and #mentor.

I built an app to visualize progress from my 2024 dev journal, using AI to summarize notes into an API. This tool lets me search milestones, see monthly overviews, and review daily checkpoints. Now I know my big wins when asked in a 1:1!

Quick tip for anyone else getting started on this platform:

To add your website domain as your handle, do the following:
Settings => Account => Handle => I have my own domain ->

Add a TXT record to your web hosting DNS (use a low TTL to propagate ), verify, and you're all set!
