Finally saw the movie Weapons...and I'm disappointed. It's a fine movie but didn't deserve the hype. Not a great horror movie like IT, Alien, or The Thing. Many other horror movies I'd rate above this as well.

The problem with holidaying in a place like Greece is that everyone smokes. It’s like they’re decades behind on their science.

Within ten years (probably a lot less), it's going to be possible to input any work of fiction into AI (including entire novels) and it will output movies and series that are as good as anything we watch today.

I remember when the clocks changing was a right faff as you had to go round the house changing the time in many places. Now, it's just the oven and one wall clock that's holding out.

House of Dynamite is 95% great. The missing 5% is the non-existent ending.

Makes me sad there’s radio ads reminding parents to let their kids have the flu vaccine at school. It reminds me there’s anti vaxers out there.

If you measure your success by your job title, you'll never be happy.

Why do they keep releasing Tron movies? None have been passable at best and the audience just isn't there to make them a success. One of the most wasted opportunities for a trilogy ever.

Realistically, we're about five years away from being able to feed a novel into AI and it being able to export either a decent movie or TV show worthy of streaming.

This is absolute nonsense. Who the heck are they polling to get these results?
Explosive megapoll shows Farage set for biggest Commons majority EVER
Nigel Farage is set for the biggest Commons majority in modern political history with the Tories reduced to just seven MPs, according to an explosive megapoll.

At least half the work you do is probably ineffective. The trick is knowing what half it is.

Vibe coding is doomed to join NFTs and Web3 on the list of clickbait hyped on social media that ultimately failed.

People who say they've already finished their Christmas shopping, there's something very wrong with you. It shouldn't be a box ticking process. There's no way you can be sure this early you're getting people what they want.

Alien: Earth is great but the one throwaway line in episode 6 about FTL not being invented yet makes zero sense. How are the ships reaching deep space?

The iPhone Air will become the default choice for most people over time, just as the MacBook Air did once the compromised faded away.

This is odd when you think about it because don't most phones come from China to begin with?
46 people arrested as Met Police disrupts crime network suspected of smuggling up to 40,000 stolen phones to China
The force's investigation began last year, when a box containing around 1,000 iPhones - almost all of which had been stolen - was found at a warehouse near Heathrow Airport.

I’m beginning to think I’m the only person who hasn’t had COVID yet. How I avoided when friends and family have had it and I have a kid at school, I don’t know.

If schools are meant to prepare students for work, they need to go all in on AI. It’s not an optional extra. The next decade belongs to those who know how to use it wisely. Without AI literacy, we’re sending kids into a Formula One race on a bicycle.

Heard about the new messaging app to use when you need something?

It's called WhatsUp.

My son since starting secondary school: “The teachers are hardly looking at my homework after I’ve done it.”

My response to this is thinking well done to his school for giving him one of the most important lessons before he enters the world of work.

Wayward on Netflix would be better if the lead character looked more like a police officer and not a work experience kid in a police station.

Just started watching Wayward on Netflix and it's so confusing watching a woman playing a dude that looks more like the son of the other woman, rather than her husband.
