Playing the Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5. My first Silent Hill game and I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it not as I'm constantly on edge about what's around the next corner. The prison section was especially hard going.

This is really unfortunate. I've got Outer Worlds 2 to play next but the first game was really good. Games are just taking too long and are too expensive and so AI use is inevitable.
Obsidian's The Outer Worlds 2 Underperformed, and There Won't Be a Third - IGN
Veteran role-playing game maker Obsidian Entertainment has no plans to continue The Outer Worlds with a third game, the studio has confirmed.

Why didn't The Running Man do better at the box office? Watched it on streaming over the weekend and it's a lot of fun. Really enjoyed it.

At some point, far left and far right thinking needs to move closer together. Both are wrong and we can't go on this way.

Sinners is more of a musical than a horror movie.

There's no life after death. We're all just a bunch of atoms. But don't worry about being proven wrong if you do believe there is because when you die, you'll never know.

Our almost teenage son just described the 90s as back in the day. And I really don't know how to respond.

If you think of Starfleet Academy as a more light-hearted show designed for people who'd not usually watch Star Trek, it works absolutely fine.
January 23, 2026 at 8:01 AM
Yes, social media for under-16s should be banned in the UK. It's a no-brainer.
January 21, 2026 at 8:26 AM
People openly hating Starfleet Academy are damning there to be no new Star Trek shows for a long time. If this is a ratings flop, we go back to waiting a long time for anything new.

Can we just turn the USA off and on again and see if that helps?
January 20, 2026 at 8:02 PM
America, there’s really no going back if you invade a NATO country. You’re going to set in motion global events that you’re going to have to live with.
January 20, 2026 at 6:23 PM
It’s odd to think it’s possible to wake up not knowing if America has invaded Greenland or attacked Iran first.
January 19, 2026 at 5:22 PM
We all live on the same planet, so the actions of any leader to only prioritise their own country and people fails them as much as the rest of the world.

Watching The Lazarus Project and it's interesting how similar the music is to Loki. Is this a theme for shows about time travel and multiverses?
January 19, 2026 at 7:59 AM
America, you really need to think carefully about the decisions you're making now. Seriously...
January 19, 2026 at 7:45 AM
The stock markets are going to have a bad time ahead because of this Greenland tariff nonsense. Pensions and investments are going to take a big hit. Not good.
January 18, 2026 at 12:16 PM
Never thought I’d see the day when the USA became hostile to Europe.
January 18, 2026 at 10:14 AM
America, now would be a good time to do something...
January 18, 2026 at 12:03 AM
Honestly, I can’t fathom why people go to the cinema to see movies that don’t need a big screen. The Housekeeper is a good example. Wait until these movies are streaming a few weeks later.

Unpopular opinion but as a Star Wars fan I think Andor is overrated. It’s well made but really boring most of the time. It’s a slog to get through.

X is down
January 16, 2026 at 3:59 PM
#StarfleetAcademy seems fine so far. Not as good as Discovery (which got better and better) or SNW but a step-up from the first two seasons of Picard. Watchable and maybe intended for a different audience than usual but that's no bad thing. Don't believe the haters here.

Tron: Ares overlooks a really important point. Spoiler! By the movie’s end, Greta Lee is basically immortal and can be recreated any time. They can make anyone immortal and mention nothing about this.
January 13, 2026 at 6:39 AM
No way X would actually be banned in the UK (it's just a negotiating tactic) but just imagine the increased registrations on Bluesky if it does. the threat's made no difference so far though as Bluesky remains a dead duck in the UK. Outside the top 200 on the App Store and only 25 for social media.
