It really hasn't been so long since Republicans were pulling for John McCain.

Even they have to admit that McCain is drastically different from this one.

@briankeene.bsky.social is reading my book, Cracking Spines.

He is also apparently listening to both "When you Close Your Eyes" by Night Ranger (low key one of my faves), and "Cowboys From Hell", from Pantera which IS my favorite band of all time.

lots of synchronicity happening

Just started the 3rd Southern Reach book - Acceptance by Jeff Vandermeer, and I was going to just read the introduction to Cracking Spines by @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social , but the book instantly sucked me in so I expect I’ll be staying up very late tonight.

This book is going to make me broke! Having read a lot of these books, there’s still a shit ton that I’ve missed. Loving the quick rapid fire reviews and at only 50 pages in, there’s mention of my favorite horror author Greg Gifune!😃

On page 80 of Cracked Spines by @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social , and came across this gospel truth;

“The simple fact of the matter is this: I read Boy’s Life in 1992, and I have not read a better book since.”

Truth. My favorite book of all time!

And I feel vindicated! He lists Joyland as his 2nd favorite Stephen King novel! And big love to acknowledging Betty by Tiffany McDaniel as horror (it sure is), and the appearance of Mama Fish by Rio Youers!!!

Required reading for horror fiction fans. Not sure if I should thank @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social or send 1000 curses his way for adding dozens of books to my already large TBR pile. Because I did the math, and there’s no way in hell I have enough years left to read them all!

I will happily receive the 1000 curses

You guys are not going to believe this. Tony Jones over at www.horrordna.com has done a review of my new book, Cracking Spines.

If you don't know Tony, he is the world's expert on YA Horror. If he would've hated my book (which he didn't), I'd still be super excited he'd read it.

Thanks Tony!

After poring over books at Barnes and Noble for 30 years, and one day seeing your book on the shelf.

It's an amazing feeling, but also very weird.
