I have always just assumed that every epithet Trump uses to describe someone else reflects his repressed feelings about himself. So far that seems to check out, but if there are any counterexamples, I’d like to know. It makes sense that the projection only intensifies as Trump himself falters.

PRC leaders must be giddy about the actions of the new Trump administration: cutting foreign aid, cutting ties to international orgs, focusing on North American continent, alienating Europe and Latin America, doing deals with autocrats. It’s Christmas (or at least Spring Festival) in Beijing.
