It would make sense to me if the algo is the real problem and not the biggest actual users. Then again most of the most annoying users on twitter imo aren’t even highly blockable power users to begin with but an eeenndlless stream of bots and trolls posting or replying inflammatory shit.

I have also had positive experience with police. It’s not to say they’re all individual bad people, though they disproportionately are. But it’s to say they willingly and actively participate in a system that is unjust and harmful to the public. That they incidentally do good things is just that.

I more appreciate the idea of adhering to a set of global norms to avoid world war. The UN is the largest body that has ever successfully brought as many countries together with that (and many other) goals at least at its heart if not in action

I think there are sufficient reasons to flinch at jingoism for a plutocratic colonialist empire without ceding any cultural ground to the right. I don’t stan the American flag and 7/4 because “America” is not a worthwhile project to celebrate, not because the Trumpets own Red, White, and Blue
I’m tired of the far right taking the American flag from us 🇺🇸 and I’m tired of them using the word “patriot” — I want those back. I don’t want the 4th of July to be theirs either. Especially not in 2026.
