Hello everyone! It’s probably time for a quick introduction.
My favourite things on BlueSky are #chatbiology, #chatchemistry, and #chatphysics. I’m hoping that more immigration to BlueSky will give the evening chats a shot in the arm, as I don’t always have much to contribute depending on the topic.

I had forgotten how hard it is moving schools. Two days in, and I’m cream crackered along with feeling like I’m going backwards. Hopefully a good sleep will help 🤞🏼

Imagine joining a department and when you’re going through new timetables one of the overriding concerns is that everyone has the same lunch on a Thursday so we can have a chippy lunch 🙌🏼

@prisonjournalism.bsky.social came across my feed this morning. Can recommend giving it a look. There’s a recent article about cats too (I think you’ll enjoy it even if you’re not a cat person).

Unleashing my inner child for this weeks #FridayFive
It’s kicking off in the parental home, following a festive chippy tea.
Mum decreed that she was too full to have trifle, so Dad has started peeling an orange for his pudding. She’s now decided on banana and custard, which is “delicious”.
WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED!!!
Trifle for breakfast, anyone?

I really don’t feel confident that a US tech giant has so much access to patient data. If this is the way forward, why can’t this be done by local tech? My husband works for one such firm, and there must be others.

I don’t understand the disparity of entry requirements to study A Levels compared with T levels.
A level chemistry - 6 good passes at GCSE, including 2 at grade 6.
T level in laboratory sciences - 5 GCSEs grade 4 and above including maths, English & science.
A level chemistry - 6 good passes at GCSE, including 2 at grade 6.
