So American law enforcement agents kill peaceful mothers and caretakers on the streets. This is insane and needs the awareness and the critical voice of European leaders despite all the geopolitical turmoil.

Just read this 👇

bsky.app/profile/reic...

We are talking about a violent human rights abusing regime killing people right on the streets.
You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

It‘s really hard to share this but let‘s be clear: We have to make sure the world sees the raw violence happening by law enforcement agents in the U.S. - killing citizens on the streets. We can‘t look away! This is systematic.

We're getting ready to launch - making sure we've got testing, observability and backups all in good order. It's taking a smidgen longer than we hoped but first invites will arrive on the first week of February and roll out throughout the month.

Thank you for your patience 🙏

Yet, history shows that such violence is risky and often backfires. It creates even more opposition and intensify resistance. The regime loses legitimacy. Yanukovych fell after the murders at Maidan and the murders at Tahrir Square accelerated Mubarak's fall. Let this backfire against Trump as well.

The murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good send a terrifying signal to protesters: if you are against us, we can kill you with impunity. This is a classical authoritarian strategy. Increase the costs of opposing the regime to stop people from protesting.

So important. What they say is not the story. That is never the story. What happened is the story. Write what happened.

JD #Vance talking about the Titanic not to be turned around over night is the most accurate description of the current state of America. We all just watch it stearing right towards the iceberg (somewhere south of Greenland) - an noone feels ready to get the captain off the bridge and turn the wheel.
