I have tasted of the flesh of the people who live in that far, fair country, and it was berry, berry unpleasant.

For the first time in my life, I have spat out cake.

What happened in my mouth just now was not sweetness. It was the ur-sweetness, the sugar at the center of Mellona's hive, so sweet I could not swallow. It was also, somehow, plastic, like I was going through communion in Strawberry Shortcakeland.

I just tried to have a piece. Now, I have a very high tolerance for sweetness. I enjoy candy corn. I am regularly baffled by the judges on CHOPPED saying a dessert is overly sweet. Sweet is good.

But this cake, on the verge of too sweet, had three days to marinate in its own apocalyptic vibes.

Several days ago, she made a strawberry cake box mix. Fine. Tasty, even. She frosted it, thickly, with strawberry shelf icing. Less fine. Very sticky, on the verge of overly sweet.

The cake has been sitting, covered, for three days.

You know how many foods, when allowed to sit in proper conditions for a few days, just become More? Soups become richer, curry becomes spicier, lasagna becomes more decadent?

Well, my mother, through sheer accident, has found the worst possible application of this effect.

Putting full body drawings at $10 for help.

Thank yall for the help so far.
If anyone wants art like this, please donate to my kofi so I can get medical help. It’s ’pay what you want’ and a complete surprise on what you get. All I need is proof of payment by dm and what character you want.

Wow! Epstein survivor Haley Robson just offered to hold Marjorie Taylor Greene’s hand if she decides to read the names on the floor.

And a powerful message to Donald Trump: “I am traumatized. I am not stupid.”

What are some actually entertaining Christmas #horror movies?

Last year my fam watched KRAMPUS. I've already seen BLACK CHRISTMAS. Looking for anything horror, truly horrific or silly or in between.

Other winter solstice adjacent holiday horror is welcome too!

Christmas Card 2025
For the last couple of years I've painted Christmas cards that I send to friends and family.
I'll probably keep on tweaking small things you can't see until I reeeeeally need to send it to the printer. But it'll look something like this

Tammy and the T-Rex needs a Jurassic World-style reboot. Audiences won't be prepared for it, but that's even more reason to make it.

I love winter in much the same way I love the ocean. I love the idea of it. I love movies about it. I love watching it. Through my window. Perhaps from my porch if I’m feeling frisky. But I do not, and this is the important bit, want it touching me.

Sometimes late at night I engage in stark, bracing combat with an errant bedsheet attempting to wrap my ankles and constrain my feet, thereby wholly immobilizing me.
Reflexively I often cry something like "unhand me, you villain!" Next to me, my wife sighs softly. Rethinking choices, understandably.

White folks always wanna forgive and welcome racists. This is why they never did what they had legal steps to do to the damn Confederates; the law very clearly says what to do with treasonous traitors. Instead, they welcomed them right back as if nothing happened. That’s why we’re where we are now
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

I rarely speak about my private life on social media but I’m breaking that rule to share the most joyful of occasions. Just over a week ago, my son was born. What a crazy & incredible journey after everything that’s happened these past five or so years. Finally, I have the family I’ve always wanted.
