I know you shouldn’t compare, but after watching The Traitors UK, the Irish version feels a bit low-rent. You can definitely tell the budget wasn’t there. That said, I think Siobhan is a fabulous choice as host.

How’s your pair hangin’? The best place to find the answer is in the shower. A steamy shower helps the nuts to relax, creating prime conditions to feel around for anything out of the ordinary - like a lump, swelling or pain. Learn how to get to know your nuts movember.com/KnowThyNuts.

I haven’t watched the #GBBO since the departure of Mel, Sue and Mary - but with Nigella joining I may have to tune in again.

Been a Labour member since I was 21. It pains me to say it, but I’ve lost hope. If Labour want to win me back, they need to be clear: tax the rich and redistribute wealth. Until then, the @greenparty.org.uk and @zackpolanski.bsky.social feel like the only credible counter to Reform UK.

Spent most of the last half hour watching people carve soap on YouTube. Oddly calming.

It’s striking how little self-awareness these people show, while continuing to spread misinformation.
‘You’re repeating a far-right load of nonsense that it’s all to do with migrants in hotels.’

@matthew-wright.bsky.social goes head-to-head with caller Patrick over the reason why ‘the country’s gone broke’.

I never thought I’d see a time when two traitors won together. The faithful traitors. So chuffed. #TheTraitors

Always glad to see more gay romance in the mainstream, and there’s real charm here, particularly in the second half. For me, though, the balance tipped too far towards explicit content at the expense of emotional depth.

James Sharp's review of Heated Rivalry (Game Changers, #2)
3/5: Heated Rivalry is, first and foremost, a welcome addition to the growing body of gay romance, and it is always encouraging to see queer stories take centre stage in popular romance fiction. Rache...

The Artist - a poetic, quietly romantic novel where the atmosphere matters as much as the story. I’ve shared a short review on how it explores creativity, constraint, and the early 20th-century art world. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
James Sharp's review of The Artist
4/5: I really enjoyed this book. It’s poetic and romantic, not just in the story it tells but in how it’s written. The language is beautifully unhurried, and the atmosphere feels carefully built — it’...

How has James not been murdered? I’d have murdered him just because of how annoying he is. I’d been such a petty traitor. 😂 #TheTraitors

Finished The Murder at the Vicarage and wrote up some thoughts on Miss Marple’s understated but brilliant debut. She begins in the background, but she soon becomes sharpest mind in St Mary Mead. And that line — “the old people know the young are fools” — perfection.

James Sharp's review of The Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple, #1)
4/5: Agatha Christie’s The Murder at the Vicarage is a fascinating introduction to St Mary Mead, a village where gossip travels faster than the post and where every twitch of a curtain could be a clue...
