Would be interesting to see some analysis of projects that get more issues/pull requests on a weekend vs weekdays. I don't get many weekends issues anymore which makes me feel my projects are used at work rather than in hobby projects?

i think the 2005-2015 era open source boom was built on a nice job environment where people had a little free time and employers believed in creativity
the free time dried up, everyone burned out, 2015-2025 open source has been explicitly targeted toward getting funding & making money. what's next?

After a long time, I finally figured out how to support adding markers universally in Terra Draw. Now there's a marker mode that works for @maplibre.org , @openlayers.org, Leaflet etc. It uses their native marker support to allow you to add icons to the map, like you would add a point

I've been working on an open source library to do routing in JavaScript called Terra Route. This morning I've added functionality for understanding complex graphs, you can get info like the number of nodes, edges, lengths, degrees, connected components etc! github.com/JamesLMilner...

AI powered 'spec driven development' would require organisations to carefully and deeply articulate what they want in clear and precise language - something developers have been begging for already for 50+ years. Maybe there is a harder and deeper problem at play here...
