Looks like Sound Transit will be purchasing three Brookville streetcars from Portland, to go into service on Tacoma's T Line, in place of the existing Skodas.

We used to build MAX lines and now we’re debating whether we can afford paint for bus lanes bikeportland.org/2025/11/07/t...
TriMet says full bus lanes on 82nd are up to project partners
Here's why our transit agency is opting for less transit.

It's crazy with US public transit service being cut left and right folks think it's good policy to deprive it of even more funding by removing fares
People opposed to free public transport don’t understand that tix/ fares cover fraction of costs. These services are already heavily subsidized.

Making public transportation free increases ridership/gives greater value to public money spent + the added benefit of reducing traffic and pollution.

Scandals doesn’t have the full street for their pride block party as usual; apparently “permitting was too hard”.

Something is deeply broken at @pbotinfo.bsky.social these days.

Finally! As a part of the City's Affordable Housing Opportunities Project, they are looking to rezone two vacant sites owned by TriMet along the orange line from mixed employment (which doesn't allow housing!) to CM2 mixed use neighborhood as TriMet's TOD wants to pursue development there.

Remove barriers on NW 20th & Everett?? You mean removing a diverter on a neighborhood greenway? @bikeportland.org @bikeloudpdx.bsky.social
• Joint patrols with Park Rangers and PPB to enforce park rules and support long-term change.
• PPB mobile command and joint tabling to increase community presence and engagement.
• Remove suspected abandoned vehicles.
• Remove barriers on NW 20th & Everett.
• Secure restroom door locks.

Portland Regional Rail starter line, thoughts? What fun three letter acronym would it be called? Regional Express = REX?

HUGE result from the latest 82nd avenue community advisory committee meeting: trimet’s public engagement about bus lanes on 82nd got an overwhelmingly pro-bus lane response, with a full 70% supporting continuous bus lanes between SE clatsop and NE lombard, including >50% of 82nd business owners

The 82nd Avenue Transit Project is projected to speed up bus service by up to 20% on 82nd between Clackamas Town Center and the Cully neighborhood.

We're exploring additional ways to keep buses moving around traffic, which could include business and transit lanes.

The #handsoff Portland march stretches from the Burnside bridge, down Grand Ave, across the Morrison bridge, along Naito Parkway, and to the Steel bridge. I haven’t seen a protest as big in a few years.

Portland has nearly $200 million worth of new light rail vehicles that have yet to enter service despite about 2 years worth of testing. Trimet received its first Type 6 MAX in Dec. 2022; Portland Streetcar received its first Brookville car in March 2023. At what point do we start getting worried?
