I struggle less with writer's block and more with time block. My ideas are backlogged for years at this point.
Day 7 and this fact reflects the reality of writing for many of us. Sure, some writers finish a whole novel in a month but that's not always the case. If you're a writer, have you struggled with writer's block? What got you out of it?

I am going through the first chapter of Dreadful: Of Wolf and Gods; which was originally a short story and wow, I might have improved as a writer since I wrote it, because I'm getting rid of so many passive verbs and punching up the language in interesting ways.

Well, I didn't get any writing done bc my mother in law's gallbladder exploded while recovering from a knee replacement. Totally unrelated to each other. She's doing well, but will need surgery.

I'm going to attempt to get up early tomorrow and start on that second draft. I have a few notes on wording I need to change.
The second draft for me is mostly ridding the story of passive verbs and giving the sentences more flair.
Occasionally I fix plot elements.
