It sucks when you're over burdened and you realize that everyone you'd talk to is also overburdened. And because you're a people pleaser at heart you don't want to extra burden the over burdened folks in your life. You end up just stewing in that shit. Tattoo pic for the algo, I guess.

I was at an event tonight where I was once again one of maybe six POC in the audience. I can't explain just how generally tired that makes me.

The first time I heard Senator Booker speak was when he ran for the presidency at the CA Dem convention. It was right after a school shooting, I listened to him and bawled. I am unsurprised at how effective he was the past 25 hours. Was it performative, maybe... Was it good trouble, definitely.
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

I'm at a meeting of activists that I helped co-found and someone just said that the US has had 3 recent IQ tests and failed 2 of them.
