Fighting Police misidentification of F&DV victims as aggressors. Fmr journo, pub servant, political adviser. Community behaviour change. Horse & dog slave. Feminist fright bat. Safety isn't optional
See Taylor's most egregious known past lies & failures. Now his racist dog whistles will lead hate-filled citizens down a path of horror before his time is up. I don't expect Libs will come back from it but some other hateful mob will carry the literal flag 🤮

Why these women think Angus Taylor is loose with truth
Angus Taylor may have secured the Liberal Party’s top job on Friday but his elevation hasn’t been met with universal applause.

“It is possible for Australia to have a fairer political donation system. The current system leaves major parties free to spend much as they always have, while restricting challengers from getting their message to voters,” writes Bill Browne.

Police see protesters as criminals if a protester is peaceful; trying to move; staying still; in a designated area; trying to leave. They're the enemy so police violence is justified. NSW laws created this & fed it to already hyper-aggressive racist misogynist workers

'Completely over the top': How tensions built towards NSW police tactics at Sydney protest

If the NSW government has any interest in maintaining faith with its own public, it will ask the DPP to investigate police actions on Monday night without NSW Police involvement, with a view to prosecuting the cops who committed assaults. Or it can carry on blaming the victims; Minns' choice.

Entirely foreseeable yes. Designed to elicit this outcome maybe? A plan to escalate police violence & ensure that Australians become as used to seeing unfettered state violence on our own streets: couldn't have planned it better?
Anyone for a head punch with a side of social cohesion?
Good to see an MP call it truthfully

Making laws where anyone leaving a peaceful protest is at the mercy of police we empirically KNOW use violence against against innocent people might be a step too far even for racists who've chosen the aggressor side in a genocide. It's not a "woke mind virus" Asst Commissioner. It's a protest

This will help us all realise that "good blokes" don't perpetrate SF&DV. Unless in the throws of a psychotic episode, people who use violence are making a choice to do so & about who to use violence against

If resources for NSW SF&DV were "significant" there'd be a significant change in offending, attitudes & convictions; a significant change to services & housing available to victims; and a significant change to police misidentification rates. Right?

How in the fuck do we live in a world where the ideological hatred of Christians is called religious terrorism and the ideological hatred of Muslims is called racial terrorism but the ideological hatred of women is never, ever called exactly what it is: men’s terrorism?

These crimes hit hard. Its not the last week of Jan & F&DV perp has murdered 5 people. This hate speech & apathy-fuelled violence can't continue. We need a truth-telling in Aust about the real cost of allowing women & children to be the predominant victims of violence
