Boycotts work. We MUST show corporate America that there are consequences for folding to fascism. #teslatakedown stands shoulder to shoulder with #BOYCOTTDISNEYABC. Check out the linked doc below for actions YOU can take.

My meaningless opinion is that large conferences shouldn't generally have themes. The theme is the conference's name!

Stop saying you are "ethically using AI." That's not possible when Open AI and all other companies are eagerly spilling massive amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. Just own up to doing something unethical because it's convenient! People do unethical but convenient things all the time!

How many times using "amongst" is too many in a single article? 3? 4?

One underrated problem with AI's use in writing is that it conveys to the writer they don't need to read because the AI will supposedly summarize and incorporate insights from some nebulous process of "reading" into whatever it spits out. Reading is where the best thinking often happens!

Y'all, Composition Forum has just published some seriously awesome book reviews that confront some of the most pressing issues within rhetoric and composition. They're all excellent and stand to benefit the field in many different ways: compositionforum.com

The Education Secretary saying universities need to align with the political priorities of an administration if they want to continue to conduct research is really just diving head first into the authoritarian playbook
Linda McMahon: "Universities should continue to be able to do research as long as they're abiding by the laws and in sync, I think, with the administration and what the administration is trying to accomplish."

Tesla's reputation is worse than United Health's lol
Coming in at #95 is Tesla.

In 2021, they were listed #8.

#TeslaTakedown
Tesla is lower than UnitedHealth Group.

#cwcon25 presentation went great! Talked about digital-material rhetorics, consequentially, climate activism, and social media. Fun panel about content creators and algorithms.

It looks like Tesla Takedown protests/backlash to DOGE, alongside other factors, have cost Elon Musk about 25% of his total wealth, in case you were wondering whether people-led protests could still exert meaningful consequences in 2025: newrepublic.com/post/194568/...

We are being governed by a collective fallacy about things that deluded folks perceive as happening but that never ever actually did happen
I was 28 in 2016 and this is an insane characterization of what growing up as a white man in my cohort was like. Demonstrative of how out-of-touch the cultural right is with actual American life www.theredneckintellectual.com/p/right-wing...

It's the most tired comment ever, but imagine if Biden or Harris was falsely maintaining something clearly photoshopped was real and refused to admit the mistake. The collective double standard/lack of any basic expectation of competence & honesty from Trump is one of his greatest strengths.
I had to upload the clip here because it's frankly insane. Possibly the most insane trump clip yet. His brain is pudding
