In 2005, Israel disengaged from the Gaza Strip by dismantling all 21 Israeli settlements there. Jews were NOT ALLOWED in Gaza after that point in time -- Gaza became apartheid, for Palestinians only. By popular Gazan vote, Hamas then ruled over Gaza.
