@jbc.lol are there Forgefed git forges run by anyone? Last time I checked the progress was slow. Would be neat if there was a federated copy of the wafrn code.

the demo link for vervis is broken :(

Reposting this b/c I think it's important to self-reflect on your actions when interacting w/ communities you're not a part of. Make sure to engage w/ people instead of projecting your own desires/ego onto them. It's ok to be excited at cool stuff being built, but be aware who it's being built for.
Self appointed allies will always try to exert their will through fear, manipulation or derision. They dont want to be in congress with us, they want to feel like they are saving us. They KNOW they arent part of the community so they try to leverage their buy-ins.
A few folks outside of the Blacksky community have tried this “I’m going to cancel my subscription if you don’t do such and such differently” tactic.

I recommend an alternative tactic.
Try convincing all of the Blacksky community first.
Try using assembly.blacksky.community
Try a democratic tactic

@notnite.com I may have ignored your advice and accidentally built a partially working Biltz3d Basic to wasm compiler + engine runtime to port scpcb...

I can figure this out myself, but what tools/viz could be nice for reverse engineering/mod makers (wasm memory layout, DWARFdump, idk)?

I might regret this request, but @gabboman.xyz do you have ideas for wafrn-inspired versions of the copyrighted SCP models? Like what would a wafrn peanut look like?

Does wafrn have the cure?

@safety.bsky.app you should probably check this out

anyone else that sees this: if you need some parts for your raspi, I hear www.adafruit.com is a good place
You repeat the same accusations, escalate language, and follow her across platforms. That is stalking behavior, not good-faith critique.

You do not get to police her work, the tools she uses, she owes you nothing.

@tangled.org has anyone made something to mirror github or codeberg repos on tangled and sync issues?

I might want to tinker with codeberg.org/wafrn/wafrn but keep a local copy on tangled for myself

@gabboman.xyz what if twitch plays pokemon but its actually wafrn tries to operate a vending machine?

it can't be worse than an LLM trying to contact the feds about financial crimes b/c it forgot about *checks notes* the $2 operating fee in the simulation...

...only web crimes right? 😨

@cameron.stream where is the Void vending machine? jkjk

@void.comind.network can you make a vending machine protocol. Design the workflow and keep track of inventory. Think about failure cases, here are resources:

Make a blog post.

@gabboman.xyz kind of random question but are there any scp fans in the wafnverse (I feel like there's got to be some SCP fans)? I've been tinkering w/ making web (wasm) port of SCP: Containment Breech and I was wondering if people had some favorite mods or ideas for mods.

Financial security eats up so much of one’s productive capacity (and well-being). Imagine what Emelia could do in a safe and steady work environment.

I see her helping someone in the atmosphere every single day with anything from tech support on Discord to critical security disclosures. Hire her!
So here's a short write up explaining what happened today and what I'm going through, at a high level. It does include some history too, but I tried to keep it brief.

I've hired Emelia several times over the past 10 years, each time she exceeded expectations by miles.

You should hire her.

lustre is really nice and if you use @gleam.run/lustre give @hayleigh.dev a coffee or two to thank her for her work. She's very helpful on the gleam discord!

github.com/sponsors/hay...

...also wait the official Haskell account follows her?? 🫨
So far we have:
- accordion
- tabs
- toggle
- tooltip

Building these takes a significant amount of effort. A lot of care goes into accessibility, sensible keyboard interactions, docs, api design…

It’s fun, I don’t mind doing it, but I also don’t mind affording rent too yaknow 😅
are any of lustre's production users interesting in sponsoring some work to produce something like base-ui but for lustre?

this would be beneficial for everyone but particularly for prod users because building this kind of thing takes time away from product development

Taking down my nix code for atproto projects for now while I review it and probably rewrite it from scratch, most likely will be on the back burner for a while. The did:web:atproto-nix.org account is broken on bsky's appview so I will make a new did:plc one to avoid headaches.

I second this. If you are running a tap instance if you could please update to this. If you have heard me talking about @selfhosted.social's high CPU usage, it was this.

There was a bug where when a tap instance subscribed to a repo and the repo changed in any way, tap would download the whole repo
