It's so strange to me that these "HAWK beacons" became common, when just having a normal light with a blinking green/solid red/blinking red etc. would have been way more familiar for drivers. Introducing a whole new way of doing traffic lights should have been a non-starter in terms of design

Boston to Salem would be incredible, though I've long wondered why there's no ferry service to Chelsea. It's two miles from downtown Boston, yet it takes so long to get there
Within the last year, the MBTA has expanded its ferry schedule, made seasonal pilots to East Boston and Lynn permanent, bought the fleet's "largest boat yet" and split Quincy and Winthrop into two separate routes.

I don't often drive, but I was glad that I did today so it aligned with me being able to cathartically scream "MUSTAAAAAAAARRRRRRDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the top of my lungs in the car
so many disgusting things about his comments & this interview, where he changes his story from one response to the next. it seems clear from his approach that he doesn't actually want to "have discussions"; he just thinks trans people should have fewer rights
