The answer to yesterday's post was "Tickle Me" from 1965. A hilarious and silly romp that doesn't take itself seriously. The whole end of the film plays out like a Scooby Doo episode too. Highly recommended.
As for my favorite Elvis song...

Okay movie nuts! I am watching another of Elvis' films tonight....one that contains my personal favorite of his songs. Anyone want to take a stab at the name of the film and guess the song?
And yes, that is Julie Adams of Creature From The Black Lagoon!

"You shall not pass!!!"
Been spending many hours (over seven so far) watching the extended cuts of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The Balrog of Morgoth is still one of the best creature designs in film history.
What are some others?

Observation: If you don't like Neelix, you're a jerk.
He kept up morale when the crew was at their lowest. He was resourceful; saving the crew from starving, finding supplies to keep them going, and helping navigate the quadrant. He was kind, loyal, and brave.
A top-notch character.

It all of the gazillion times I've watched the Back to the Future trilogy, I never noticed Marty trying out the thought reading machine....Always too busy watching Doc read the letter, I guess.
Oh, since I got the new LEGO Delorean, I am watching for the gazillionth plus one.

If anyone is interested, the LAT/LONG in the final credits actually points at the secret lab in Nevada from season 4....which apparently actually exists.

"The Holdovers". A beautiful and heartfelt tale full of joy and sadness with a realism rarely seen these days. I highly recommend it as much as I would recommend watching "A Christmas Carol" every holiday season. A true masterpiece.

One of my all-time favorite cartoons. Super Chicken from the 1967 George of the Jungle/Tom Slick/Super Chicken series.

Finally got around to watching a classic I had missed. Man, I love Robert Mitchum! What an adorable film too. Janet Leigh...who never seemed to age at all... plays well opposite the chiseled Mitch in this holiday rom com. Highly recommended!
