I've noticed the same difference in mask-mirroring between pre-pandemic and now. People DID mask MORE in pre-pandemic healthcare-settings.
And:

When I wrote my plea to maskless healthcare workers… I had planned it as a 3 part series
Then I had a number of health setbacks & couldn’t bring myself to finish
Today I was so utterly disrespected by a HCW that the words came flowing back.
Patients deserve better & I plan to keep fighting:

A Plea to Maskless Healthcare Workers from Vulnerable Patients
If you see a mask - wear a mask. Better yet - wear a mask all the time and show us you understand that we're still IN a pandemic. We are depending on you to keep us safe - please don't betray that.

So… one of the Blue Spruce read aloud books has a nonbinary character whose sister learns to refer to them as “they/them” instead of “she/her” and “my sibling” instead “my sister”.
