When I wrote down everything I ate, it was not that hard for me because I usually write what I ate in my diary. However, I do not write snacks or drink but I was surprised that I eat more sweet drinks than I thought I did. I was not able to write down the exact amount. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I love the fact the article handles the negative impact of oversimplifying nutrient message. I think I make the mistake as well, like reading the article and just thinking so sugar is bad. That is not how foods work. I should consider more than that for now on. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One interesting point I was able to learn about dietary assessment. It is writing and keeping track of what you eat. It is simple but you need to write everything you ate so you need to be motivated. If not, it could bring wrong information since it is subjective.

This post was eye opening to me! When my mom had risk factor for diabetes, high consumption of sugar was the most to blame. Although she is fine right now, I always tell her to be careful with sugar. Now, I should focus more in saturated fats and trans fats. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One of the fun and interesting fact I learned is that companies use sugar with changed names. For example, evaporated cane juice, agave nectar, and brown rice syrup is all just sugar! companies just use those name just to hide people from avoiding because of high sugar. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Red flag i was able to figure out was overly confident language such as “proven” or “guaranteed.” This lecture made me clear that claiming strong result does not always match the strength of evidence. Headlines make casual claims even not supported in the research. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Hello! I am pharmD class 2030. I wanted to learn about nutrition among the elective courses. I am curious about how to balance nutrition daily to eat healthy. Is there right way to eat healthy? I believe healthy eating is “balancing”. My favorite food is salmon.
