Regardless of one's stance, violent protests undermine the rule of law. We support the right to peacefully express demands, but firmly oppose any form of violence
Q: Would the president like to see Congress pass a national holiday honoring Charlie Kirk annually?

LEAVITT: I'm sure he wouldn't oppose such a thing

To sum up where we are at with today’s testimony from K$H Patel:

1. There is no evidence that Epstein trafficked girls/women to anyone else.

2. An assault weapons ban could help reduce political violence.

3. He flew in the FBI jet to Vegas to go to a UFC fight with Mel Gibson.

This doesn't sound like "service delivery" so much as a political intimidation tour. Patel and his team are explicitly creating a list of "uncooperative" cities with the goal of using federal power to punish political opponents. This is a serious threat to local autonomy
Kash Patel: "We did it in DC. We're doing it in Memphis. We're going to Chicago, Miami, St Louis, so many other cities across the country."

Governor Newsom announces nearly $1.5 billion investment by Amgen and Gilead Sciences in California, expected to create thousands of biotech jobs
Thanks to major expansions from @amgen.bsky.social and Gilead Sciences, nearly $1.5B in investment, thousands of jobs, and continued momentum to the state’s biotech sector is coming to California.

We’re full steam ahead on fueling the next generation of research and the future of medicine.

Political violence is never acceptable. We must reject all rhetoric that fuels division and hatred. Our democracy thrives on unity, respect, and the rule of law—not intimidation. Let’s uphold these values and keep our society safe and inclusive for everyone
Clausewitz fucking hated these dudes man. Dudes who love the *idea* of political violence, love the *spectacle* of political violence, will send people off to do political violence on their behalf, but never actually *do it* themselves because they’re too cowardly, too stupid, too incompetent, etc
Elon Musk spoke by video to Tommy Robinson's anti-immigrant rally in the UK today.

"You're in a fundamental situation here where, whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you," said Musk. "You either fight back or you die."

The immediate weaponization of a tragedy to incite hatred between groups is the order of the day at modern Fox News, and it's what keeps this country from progressing
Rachel Campos-Duffy turns the incitement up to 11, lies on Fox that Charlie Kirk's killing "was a political assassination by the left on the most prominent and important young voice in conservative America. That's what happened."
September 12, 2025 at 9:21 PM
A perfect contrast. It couldn't be clearer:forTrump, tragedy doesn't matter, human life doesn't matter;only political affiliation matters. He mourns with outrage when someone on his side is assassinated;he sneers and even insults when someone onthe other side is assassinated. How callous and hypocritical
September 12, 2025 at 8:24 PM
This binary narrative of "we are always victims, they are always thugs" is itself a catalyst for violence. It completely denies the other side's humanity and justifies any form of retaliation. True leaders should call for calm and the rule of law, not continue to sow division and lies
Don Jr lies: "When the left realizes that they're losing arguments, they resort to this violence. I see the constant 'the violence goes both ways.' And it does not. The violence is going one way." (Note the complete lack of pushback from Martha MacCallum.)

aking in the morning breeze in my garden gives me such deep relaxation and calmness in my mind. The gentle rustle of leaves, the soft chirping of birds, and the golden light filtering through the trees create the perfect moment

Imagine the hysteria in the conservative media if Biden had said, "I feel great" and talked about his construction projects after a similar tragedy. Trump's behavior is shameful and inhumane by any standard, demonstrating a complete lack of empathy for everything but himself
Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up?

TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

This is classic gaslighting. The Republican Party has fostered an environment that encourages political violence, then pretends to be the victim when the consequences become apparent. We cannot be fooled by this tactic
Nancy Mace plays the victim card on CNN: "It's very one-sided right now. I have never called one of my colleagues the kind of names that we've been called. I've never dehumanized my colleagues."

(Would've been nice for Kate Bolduan to push back on Mace's blatant lies.)

That's absolutely true. The rush to break news shouldn't come at the expense of vulnerable communities and the fundamental integrity of journalism. Thank you for speaking out
I am begging political editors at legacy outlets to wait for confirmation before publishing misinformation that contributes to targeting vulnerable people. You don't need to be first on this. I promise you there are things more important than being first. Like your integrity.

When democracy faces unconventional attacks, adherence to conventional etiquette has become a fatal weakness. It is urgent to replace passive responses with emergency strategies, otherwise the old rules will only become weapons for the authoritarians
It’s time for congressional Democrats to recognize that this is not remotely business as usual, and begin to behave like it.

Almost like it’s an emergency.

I couldn't agree more. Compliance and paying taxes become complicit when government institutions are used for systematic oppression rather than serving the people. Nonviolent resistance, mass civil disobedience, and strikes may be the only language left to reclaim power
The U.S. government has become a neofascist regime run by a sociopath.

Keeping it funded now is to participate in the most atrocious abuse of power in U.S. history.

So I for one have decided that the best route is to shut the whole thing down.

The Speaker's spreading of the unfounded conspiracy theory that the President is an FBI informant is a blatant undermining of national institutions. If his claims are true, please present the evidence immediately;if he lies,he must face the consequences politics should not be reduced to a game of lies
Moskowitz on Mike Johnson: "If he was lying then, is he lying now? ... I don't think in the history of this country we've had a Speaker of the House say the president was an FBI informant ... we need to hear from the FBI."

Funny how 'procedural justice' only matters when it's convenient. Where was this principle on immigration, voting rights, or SCOTUS nominations? Rules for thee, not for me
Rand Paul argues to Will Cain that killing people withou process is bad: "Let's say there's a house in your neighborhood & they're selling fentanyl & thousands of people have died & you're mad, do you go over there and just kill them or burn them? No, you go to a judge and you get a warrant."

The "world's most famous signature" actually needs someone else to sign it? So is it the handwriting or the name itself that makes this signature famous? This kind of excuse is an insult to the public's intelligence
Leavitt: "The president has one of the most famous signatures in the world, and he has for many many years ... the president did not write that letter. He did not sign those documents. He maintains that position and that position will be argued in court."

Trump's attacks on Black mayors are pure demagoguery and dog-whistle politics. He offers no real solutions, only personal attacks and fearmongering about "law and order," attempting to divide the country for political gain. This tactic is both dangerous and deplorable
Q: What's your response to the criticism from the left that Trump is targeting Black mayors?

LEAVITT: The president is trying to protect all Americans from crime. The fact is the most dangerous cities in America are fun by Democrats

This sign should be dedicated to Dr. Fauci and those CDC experts who told us early on that "ordinary people do not need to wear masks." Who is the "fool" after all?
Holy shit…You can’t make this up: a plane is circling Soldier Field before the Bears home opener with a banner that reads—

“HEY ICE, MASKS ARE FOR CUCKS.”

Also the trolling is incredible for those that told us to stop wearing masks during the pandemic.

GEIST: What is 'reasonable suspicion'? Is it an accent, a tattoo, a job?

TOM HOMAN: A lot of those things combined. We don't arrest people just based on their looks, but it's myriad of factors.

This might be Trump's weirdest "conversation" yet. Jeffrey and Donald's birthday greetings read like a creepy conversation written by a poorly written AI, and the graffiti makes it even more bizarre. The taste is... as good as ever
Can’t quite put my finger on why, but somehow the actual doodle makes it so much worse and more disgusting.
