November brings reflection on loved ones now gone. Reading some death notices recently, I noticed how often adjectives such as “peacefully” are used to describe a person’s passing.

The budget was universally disappointing for caregivers. From the young to the very old, and for those engaged in meeting the needs of everyone in between, there was little to applaud.
