Having spent short of a decade in full contact striking martial arts, getting into submission grappling was a sobering experience. While I recommend that everyone should squat and deadlift indefinitely, 3 months of striking and submission grappling at some point in one’s life is essential.

A wage is capital’s way of commodifying your surplus value. You would not be paid $10 if your output would be $10. You are paid $10 for every cent you produce beyond $10. What capital is paying for is your creativity, your drive, your passion, your work ethic, or at least your compliance.

Regardless of what you do for a living or what your hobbies and interests are, you should be squatting and deadlifting.
