Part of me wants to make an indie FPS inspired by 2000s FPS games as a side project.
The retro fps genre really needs to adopt new influences or face stagnation.

People don't care about indies anymore unless they are established big names or are heavily pushed by Youtubers/streamers. Market over saturation and extreme standards make visibility harder than ever.

Gonna be honest - a lot of the AI discourse lately has killed my motivation to create.
Its like learning all your competitors in a race were cheating, there's no longer a sense of competition.
It shatters the joy away from creating and learning from others to improve. Why bother when they cheat?
